Each year, more and more, I surprise myself by how much I like the season. Winter, of course, brings with it the festivals which provide a great buffer from the changing weather but beyond that, for me, it's all about the retreat, cosying up at home for a period of restoration fired by many sessions of dreaming about what the coming year will bring.

And while the weather is typically cold and miserable, it seems to make those rare sunny or dry days all the more special. I think the walks I enjoy most are the ones on a sunny Winter's day, bundling up in hand-knits, peeking out of hibernation, feeling the cool air in my lungs and spying on what nature is up to when we're not looking. I think I can almost feel the vitamin D soaking into my bones on days like that.

and we invite you to share ideas, activities, recipes.. anything to do with Winter. You can share new ideas and things you have done in the past, also.
It's really easy to add your links, there's no sign up required or anything and the linky does most of the job for you. Simply click on the blue button at the bottom of the links and follow the instructions. Just remember to link to the individual post rather than your blog home page.
There are several blog buttons to choose from, if you'd like one, too.
After seeing so many wonderful ideas throughout the year I am really looking forward to seeing what people link up this time.
Some people are just naturally good at photography all those mini icon pictures are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThey are, but also I think they look good because they're cropped in close.
