All Year Round Autumn Carnival

The weather really seems to have shifted in this last week.  There's a definite chill in the air, especially first thing in the morning - it's almost crisp out there - and I'm noticing the nights drawing in earlier already.  



I made a little seasonal nature table on an upstairs windowsill this year as the kitten is proving to be all kinds of trouble about this sort of thing!  He doesn't go upstairs so our little gnomes and things are safe for the time being.
I tried out the idea for making a tree out of a brown paper bag via Pinterest and it worked pretty well given that I only devoted about 5 minutes to it.




Each time I wonder about whether to bother with this sort of thing now that Cameron is older and seemingly uninterested, I re-read the post I wrote thanking my Mum for having made the effort.  The stuff in the background counts, for sure, but sometimes I need to remind myself.

With all of these changes it seems like perfect synchronicity that the All Year Round Autumn Carnival opened on Saturday.



The Summer Carnival was a huge success with 399 links when it closed and I'm really looking forward to seeing what wonderful ideas get added for my favourite season - Autumn!
