Allotment Snapshot

The allotment has become a sanctuary lately - a place to be completely and refreshingly unplugged from the rest of the world. A place where all our efforts are physically and often immediately visible.

I snapped this picture of Cameron yesterday showing his developing gardener's stance!

Oh, Yes he looks the part! :D What are you (going to) growing this year then?

My garden is my allotment and I've just planted some pepper, courgette and carrots. Im not very good at gardening and last year most of my crops failed lol - except those good old hardy strawberries :P

this has nothing to do with this post... sorry for going off-topic... but... do you have the recipe somewhere on this blog for those yummy looking biscuits in your header photo??? i would love to make some.

ok, on topic now... i will be following your blog to see how your son does with his garden. it's fun to watch kids get excited about gardening. i'm hoping I get into this year and make our yard much nicer. hopefully your posts will spur me into action. :)

Wandering - Welcome and thanks! The recipe for the scones from the header are the basic scones from here http://www.homebakedonline.com/2010/02/blog-scone-crazy.html served with jam and cream and dusted with icing sugar.
Thanks for following and good luck with your gardening this year :o)
