Win a farm or garden tour with Yeo Valley!

It's rare that I ever get offered anything truly awesome to give away but today I have a real treat for you - Yeo Valley are opening their doors to the public this Summer and have offered four tickets for me to giveaway to one of you lucky people!
If I could, I would be on this day out in a heartbeat...

Here's some more information:

"Yeo Valley, the Somerset-based family-run dairy company, will be opening its doors again to the public this summer for an exclusive series of farm tours and garden tours.

From 6th July, both of these full day tours will provide visitors with an insight into the organic world of the Yeo Valley family farm in Blagdon. While the farm tours will be led by local expert Les Davies MBE, the garden tours will include a special chef food demo on how to create the best-tasting dishes with organic produce. Whether you’re a fan of the products, are interested in gardening and sustainable methods, or would just like to get involved in a fun day out, Yeo Valley’s farm tours and garden tours have lots to offer.

Discovery Farm Tour

Yeo Valley’s Farm Tours will be led by local expert Les Davies MBE. You will get the chance to learn about organic farming and why it is so important to our planet and the future of British farming, as well as meet Yeo Valley’s prize-winning, British Friesian cows! You’ll also see the fruits of some of our environment and conservation work, like dry-stone walls, hedges and woodland. Yeo Valley’s Farm Tours are a full day and include lunch at Wills Barn and afternoon tea.

The dates for the Farm Tours are: 6th July, 20th July, 28th September

Food and Garden Tour

For keen gardeners and green enthusiasts alike, Yeo Valley’s Garden Tours will give you the opportunity to meet like-minded people and learn some top tips from the horticultural experts at Yeo Valley. Taking place at the Organic Gardens’ Tea Room at Holt Farm in Blagdon, Yeo Valley’s Garden Tours will include a comprehensive garden tour - one of only a handful of organic gardens in the UK, a talk on organic ways to make wonderfully rich compost and keep weeds and pests under control organically, plus a special chef food demo on how to create the best dishes with organic produce from the vegetable plot.

The dates for the Garden Tours are:
10th July, 24th July, 4th September, 18th September .

Last year Yeo Valley’s Farm Tours were described as: a fantastic day. The farm tour was brilliant and the staff were very helpful and obliging. Les Davies’ knowledge was second to none.’

The Garden Tours were described as having: splendid plants and layout in an idyllic setting…all of those concerned with the organisation, planning and presentation of the tour were so knowledgeable and committed to their work."

Yeo Valley’s Farm Tours and Garden Tours are both all-day events priced at £30 per person but I have four tickets to give away - you can choose either the farm or the garden tour and the date that you wish to attend (subject to availability).

For more information about the farm, dairy gardens and more checkout the Yeo Valley website (there are some educational resources, too!).

To enter, simply leave a comment at the bottom of this post before midnight on Sunday 15th and tell me which tour appeals to you most - the farm or the garden?
Good luck!

Edited to add: The winner was picked at random - congratulations to Roxy!  Send me an email with your details and I will pass them on to Yeo Valley!

  2. I would love to win the farm tour. It would be great to see how farming works in harmony with the environment, and the children would really enjoy meeting some Freisian cows.

  5. I'm torn...the children would love the farm tour, but I would prefer the garden one. So I guess I'm choosing the farm tour :)
