Transitioning from Winter to Spring

I'm so proud of how patient we are being about waiting for Spring this year. There's no mistaking that it's on the way though. Here are a few ways we're looking forward to Spring and holding on to Winter at the same time.

We found this old friend under Cameron's bed when we were Spring cleaning. He had a bath and a lovely time blow drying in the breeze.

Planting seeds

Savouring the last of lovely quiet days out, when we get places almost to ourselves.

Passing the last of the cold weather with some family drawing time at the kitchen table

Last chances for playing in the snow

Watching out for every new bud and shoot

Not a gardener so I have no idea if true.. but a friend of mine was told last year when see tried to grow carrots that you don't do them in seed trays but straight into the container /soil youplan to grow them in; because they can't be transplanted.

Just thought I'd mention it as I saw the carrot stick.

And awww love the teddy :-)

Thanks Heather :o)

Joxy - Thanks for the heads up. I don't tend to garden by the book but we managed to transplant carrots last year - we'll see what happens!
The teddy was a present when Cameron was born, it looks pretty good for being 10 years old doesn't it!

Oh I love those pictures, just the simple things in life that are the best.

I love seeing all the daffodil buds popping up and feeling the weather change.

P.S who drew the wonderful Unicorn picture - its good :)

Thanks Mel - the unicorn picture was mine! We were drawing things we'd never tried before and I had never drawn a horse but it seemed too boring as just a horse so I turned it into a unicorn! I was quite pleased with my efforts ;o)
