Missing all the great weather

I spent the best part of last week in bed with an awful flu bug that really floored me, I guess all the stress lately has left me slightly run down.
During the time I was ill Cameron was a little poppet. He entertained himself very well. He got the air drying clay out and made a series of Ben 10 action figures, read a lot, made comics, made a mask and claws inspired by X-men (Marvel characters being one of his new interests) , I'm sure he did a lot more that I have no idea about! He was very attentive and offered to get me drinks, laptop, boxes of tissues, blankets etc. (hopefully that isn't classed as domestic servitude!). He was slightly miffed that we didn't get his Beano on the day it came out but didn't moan too much!

I was so cross that I had caught this bug as we were just starting to get back into a nice calm rhythm when I last posted and the weather was so gorgeous. I'm bouncing back this week though, easing into a gentle daily rhythm, no rushing, treating myself kindly, getting back on the yoga mat and hopefully getting back to full health.
While the weather is so glum I intend to cook some meals to put in the freezer, I got caught short when I was ill and we had to survive on a less than ideal diet (much to Cameron's delight!). I want to be prepared in case it happens again with something healthy but easy to prepare sat waiting in the freezer to aid recovery.
Right now we are both quite excited about a new project Cameron is working on. He has been desperate to be featured in a book (even thinking up crazy ideas to get in the Guinness Book for records - don't even ASK what he was planning for that!) and so I have been looking into self publishing sites. We have budgeted so that we can afford to publish a book that he makes, just a small amount of copies. I thought this would be a really fabulous idea for Christmas presents for family this year too. Cameron is busy working away on stories, illustrations, story ideas etc. He's extremely excited and it's lovely to see.
