It snowed again in the night! I convinced Cameron to leave the back garden and come out to the park this morning as I knew there would be masses of untouched snow around on a snowy school day. He very wisely brought along his spade!
We slipped and slid our way to the park (all of yesterday's snow was frozen solid with more snow on top of it).
At the park we met a boy who had bunked off school to play in the snow and he had a sledge with him so Cameron went and asked for a turn (something he would have been far too shy to do last year).
Unfortunately Cameron had a bit of an accident on his second go and went flying into the play park railings hurting his foot. Not too seriously I don't think but he went hurtling into the railings REALLY fast :o/ He's still glad he got a go though!
We stayed there all morning and returned home just now for broccoli soup to go with our home baked bread from yesterday and hot chocolate with marshmallows!
Isn't it amazing how the confidence seems to come, I think it is because they feel safe because we're there.
